Avery Dennison and Oracle Unveil New Retail Solution
GREENSBORO, N.C. - September 7, 1999
Avery Dennison Worldwide Ticketing Services (WTS) announced today that they have collaborated with Oracle Corporation on an
Internet-based supply chain management system for the retail and apparel industry. This unique information management system
will allow all trading partners in the apparel value chain to electronically exchange data and information, such as purchase
orders, acknowledgements and amendments, advanced shipping notices, packing list information, carton label (scanning and
printing) and ticket information in a convenient and seamless fashion.
Overall, the application will help improve efficiency and reduce operation costs for both manufacturers and retailers.
Furthermore, the solution cost effectively provides all trading partners large and small with access to this vital
information. Avery Dennison will work with retailers, branded manufacturers and vendors to help them streamline their data
