Frequently Asked Questions about the Alliance

  1. What is the alliance between Avery Dennison InfoChain Express® and TradeCard?
  2. The alliance streamlines the entire trade transaction process by aligning the physical supply chain with the financial supply chain, executing the entire transaction online from purchase order to payment, without the use of paper. InfoChain Express® facilitates the seller in meeting requirements for shipment with freight forwarders and consolidators. Then TradeCard compares the data across the documents and completes the transaction by handling the financial settlement. Furthermore, the integration of the companies’ platforms minimizes data entry required by a buyer or seller by transferring data between systems.

  3. How do InfoChain Express® and TradeCard’s services work together to deliver an integrated solution for customers?
  4. After a customer’s supplier has fulfilled a purchase order and packing list through InfoChain Express® and the goods are ready to ship by the consolidator, the information is transmitted to TradeCard’s system. TradeCard’s patented technology checks for discrepancies between the order and shipping documents. If all document information is compliant, then payment is triggered by the TradeCard system and the funds are transferred.

  5. What benefit does the alliance between InfoChain Express® and TradeCard provide buyers and sellers of goods?
  6. Through the alliance, customers no longer require separate systems for ordering goods and tracking status, and they do not have to drop offline for payment. InfoChain Express®’s tool moves the manufacturer’s data to consolidators as well as to TradeCard which then triggers payment. The entire transaction takes place through a single entry point of data.

  7. How does the removal of paper translate into value for customers?
  8. Customers save time and money by streamlining the entire process of a trade transaction. Furthermore, the automated process provides visibility into the transaction for the various parties involved, allowing them to better manage the transaction and their finances.
