Avery Dennison InfoChain Express®™ Wins “Best of Breed” Recognition
from Readers of Consumer Goods Technology
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - February 28, 2003 - Avery Dennison™ InfoChain Express®™ has earned a coveted 2003 “Best of Breed” award from Consumer Goods Technology magazine, joining an elite club that also includes Microsoft, Oracle and United Parcel Service. .
The award was announced in a letter from Consumer Goods Technology Associate Publisher Steve Rosenstock to Chris Pfister, marketing and alliance manager, Avery Dennison InfoChain Express®. The letter states: “Inclusion as a ‘Best of Breed Company’ is a clear indication of your company’s reputation and standing in the consumer goods industry and provides the perfect platform to develop future opportunities in this targeted marketplace.”
Avery Dennison InfoChain Express® seamlessly connects trading partners, including manufacturers, retailers, vendors and freight consolidators, and enables them to exchange and access data in real time. It expedites information flow among supply chain trading partners, eliminating the need for multiple, linear EDI systems. Users can transmit and receive purchase orders electronically, scan merchandise to facilitate error-free packing, print price tickets and carton labels on site or at service bureaus, and generate and transmit advance shipping notices (ASNs).
The 2003 “Best of Breed” awards were based on a survey of over 120 consumer goods executives. Respondents rated companies according to three criteria: product performance and usability; return on investment; and customer support and compliance. Top finishers were featured in the January 2003 “Best of Breed” issue of Consumer Goods Technology, and each received a certificate of recognition.
